Dürnberg’s light & fruity wines with character

The cold macerated, primarily fruity wines of our “Drinking Pleasure ” line are perfect proof that wines with only 11.5% alcohol can have character. Aging in stainless steel tanks and relatively early bottling result in deliciously easy drinking fun!

Green Veltliner L & T (light and dry)

Aromas of Green apples and refreshing citrus notes on the palate and an aftertaste of fruity apples with delicate grapefruit and fine spices. Light and tangy with excellent flow. A great example that even low alcohol wines can have character.

Falko, Cuvée

Blend of Muscat, Riesling and a splash of Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh and fragrant, spring in the glass! Hints of lilac and elderberry flowers alternating with fruity flavors, good acidity support gives the wine a nice flow. The best of our region for daily consumption

The fresh fruity wine types in the select series, such as our classic Weinviertel DAC’s, are fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel to obtain fruit and varietal characteristics. After the fermentation, they remain for some months on the Lees, whereby the character of the Falkensteiner of terroir is more beautiful.

Blanc de noir from Zweigelt grapes

our speciality, the white pressed Zweigelt, boasts with fine fruity berries and citrus fruits and an animating acidity. On the palate it is fruity with mineral notes. It makes you want more! A fine companion to Mediterranean and Asian-inspired dishes.

Our Zweigelt shows how excellently this grape matches the Weinviertel’s soil and climate – a real treasure of  the ground !, which is what Bodenschatz means. Prime Wine

Individual location and terroir wines from the hand-selected grapes of old vines

The decision on the development of the wines is product-specific. With higher natural alcohol content our Prime wine reserves often lie on the Lees (“sur lie”), in oak barrels (500-1,300 liters), until the next harvest. Resulting in particularly elegant, expressive wines with amazing storage potential. The grapes come mostly from very old vineyards with low yields, making every single bottle that much more special.

Living traditions: rigorous grape selection and the long expansion on the Lees until the spring bring a wine that impresses with its directness and expressiveness. RIED RABENSTEIN, Green Veltliner, Weinviertel DAC reserve

Spicy and fruity aromas, backed by tobacco, pepper and roasted aromas. On the palate, delicate creamy, dense and powerful notes of PEAR, pineapple and candied lime. Extract rich with fresh acidity and lively mineral notes in the long finish. The location of Rabenstein with up to 50 years old vines produces Veltliner with plenty of character. The lime-rich soil and the expansion on the full yeast in 1000 l oak barrels provides for a wine with mineral and spicy notes and large storage potential.

ORTOLAN, cuvée prestige

85% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Blanc, 5% Pinot Gris in Burgundian style aged less than a year on the full Lees in 500 l oak barrels. On the nose, ripe banana, honeydew melon and sweet tobacco with roasted notes; Fullness beautiful milk caramel and vanilla on the palate, warm fruit arc cooling and mineral notes in the finish, great development potential. RIED KIRCHBERG, mixed set

Deep fruity and complex aromas of apples, white, fine herbs and much seasoning. On the palate full-bodied and concentrated, burnt almonds, a hint of rose petals, very mineral shaped, full bodied and punchy in the long finish. Six different varietals from up to 60-year-old plants of the southern location of Kirchberg be read together and fermented and then up to a year on the full yeast in large oak barrels. ST LAURENT reserve

The Burgundian nature of the variety here to finds particularly elegant way: the aroma of red berries and cherries with fine spice is continued on the palate. After 14 months maturation in French oak barrels, delicate roasted aromas and a balanced tannin structure complete the wine in its finesse and elegance.
